Last year we had so much phun! Who knew Lucille Ball could be so conniving! Oh wait! we did know that from her TV shows. Want to see how much phun we had last year? Click here for photos! They're STILL talking about it down at The Bayou Bar and Grill and local patrons as well as parrot heads cannot wait for the event this year! Please note that this is a Club Fundraiser so we can continue to bring you things like entertainment at your favorite club activities.
About the Luau: There's trouble in paradise! Come join us at the fictional "Polar Bar" - a local watering hole in fictional Boomtown. Everybody is out for something and no one is to be trusted. There are pirates, refugees, renegades, ex-convicts, expatriated Americans, murderers, missionaries for hire, psychics, tourists, and all types of different people. No matter what is going on, everyone is asking the same question: "Where's Joe Merchant?" We can't help you there, but we can direct you to the Bayou Sports Bar and Grill where our gracious host will welcome us to an evening of intrigue, mystery and mayhem. You don't need a pencil thin mustache to solve this mystery!
Family and friends are more than welcome; you do not need to be a Parrot Head or a member of a Parrot Head Club to enjoy this event. Many people who registered last year were not Parrot Heads. The mystery is written so that non-parrot heads do not need knowledge of Jimmy Buffett, his books, music, or Parrot Head "culture". Heck, you don't even need to read the book (but we won't stop you).
Unlike many other Murder Mystery dinners this one is not scripted; you, the participants do all the work. You will be provided with bits of information about another character (which you cannot alter) to use to your advantage, bribe someone for information, or blackmail someone to keep your mouth shut (should last only as long as it takes for someone else to bribe you for the same info). In fact, bribery and blackmail are highly encouraged in this Caribbean town! Nothing comes free!
Clues will be provided throughout the evening to help you solve the crime. Although you are given $50 in Buffett Bucks to start, should you need more bribe or blackmail money, merely wander over to our Bank of Bad Habits and exchange your American dollars for some more Buffett Bucks. Our highly qualified bank teller will be more than happy to assist - ahem, take your money - you (cough cough)! If she demands, er asks, for a processing or convenience fee from you, sorry, there's no one to complain to. In fact, if you complain, she just might tack on a complaint fee!
Registration is HIGHLY recommended. In fact, registration is required so we can assure our guests and participants that there will be plenty of food and characters for all. You may choose your character on a first come, first serve basis; you will be asked to pick 3 characters in case your first choice is taken.

Theme: Where's Joe Merchant?
Cost: $32 per person, includes mystery, $50 in Buffett Bucks (which you must use during the game and for the auction), dinner - buffet style, entertainment, loads of fun, and PayPal fees.
Band: Dennis Davis(starts at 8pm-ish...whenever the mystery concludes)
Food: Roasted Pig, Polynesian Meatballs, Jasmine Rice, Asian Veggies, Fruit Tray, Margaritaville Shrimp, Pineapple Upside Down cake, and Chocolate Tiki cake.
Bring your camera! Dressing up in costume is not a requirement, but can be lots of fun and help a person get into the spirit of the mystery. This event is open to all, not just club members. Bring your phriends!
There will also be prizes awarded for best costume, best character representation, etc. as well as a live auction.
